It has come to our attention that miscreants are
surreptitiously using our domain name to send out spam messages.
This appears to be a pervasive
problem and according to PC
Magazine - "domain spoofing is responsible for more than
half of the spam out there today." Regrettably,
our ISP/Web Host informs us that there is nothing they can do to
prevent this. See
more articles here.
If you have suffered the inconvenience and
irritation of receiving such e-mails, please take a moment to report
the Spammer/s to the originating ISP (instructions
here). Also, please protect yourself from malicious spoofers
by becoming aware of spoofed
websites and phishing e-mails that attempt to obtain your personal/
account information, passwords, etc.
Please note that the spam e-mails
have absolutely no connection with this site, and we are equally
at a loss witnessing/experiencing the fallout of this regrettable
phenomenon.
Let us hope the IT industry and the government's
efforts to control SPAM at it's origin will, in the near future,
lead to innovative solutions that will effectively address this
problem. And let us also hope that the solution will be well
thought out and not be worse than the original problem - like eradicating
trees to prevent forest fires!
